What is CrowdPitch?

This event will bring entrepreneurs, innovators, mentors, support providers, and investors together in an informal and energetic setting.

Think ´America Idol´ — selected entrepreneurs will have 4 minutes to pitch their company to both a panel of experts & a live audience, followed immediately by a 3-minute Q&A session with the panel.

A free networking dinner will follow the formal pitch.

Panel of Experts

Marty Zwilling is the Founder and CEO of Startup Professionals, Inc. and a business professional who has served as an executive in large companies as well as small. Marty is a member of the Selection Committee of the Arizona Angels Venture Group Inc., and does mentoring for the Arizona State University Technopolis program, Thunderbird School of Global Management Entrepreneur in Residenceí program. He is also on the Advisory Boards for several startups in the area. He has a degree in Computer Science, as well as Accounting from the University of Illinois.

How it Works:

Pitching Companies:
FundingUniverse will select several companies to present on-stage at the CrowdPitch event.  The presenting companies will complete a mandatory coaching session TBA.

Panel of Experts:
A panel of experts has agreed to judge the CrowdPitch presentations

Audience Participation:
Attendees in the audience will receive $100 of play "Monopoly" money that they will use to "invest" in their favorite company pitch.  After all of the presentations, the audience will place their monopoly cash into their favorite CrowdPitch presentation.
