Before you accept an investment from an angel investor, please complete the cautionary checklist of items below:

1) Do a thorough backgroud check on the investor. You are investing in the your angel as much as he/she is investing in you. Make sure you are partnering with a real angel with the money and experience that you need to really add value to your company.

2) Do not send investors any money before they invest in your company. Investors who ask you for mony before completing the investment are not real investors.

3) If possible, meet with the investor face-to-face.

4) Thoroughly review the contract. If at all possible, have a lawyer review the contract for you.
